Talent Hunt 2025

On March 2, 2025, the Eastern Area 3 Chapters of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. (Alpha Alpha, Zeta Omicron, Gamma Epsilon, Zeta Mu Mu, and Kappa Iota Iota) hosted the 2025 Talent Hunt event, a celebration of the artistic abilities of local high school students, at Syms Middle School in Hampton. Seven remarkable young individuals took to the stage, demonstrating their dedication and passion across a diverse range of performance categories. The event is designed to foster and encourage the development of young talent and provide a platform for our young people to shine.

The program featured a rich tapestry of performances, including captivating vocal performances that showcased the power and range of youthful voices and, a compelling poetry recitation that resonated with the audience, demonstrating the power of the spoken word. We were also blessed with a riveting dramatic monologue that held the audience’s attention, showcasing the performers acting skills, and impressive piano solos that highlighted the technical skill and musicality of the performers.

After an evening of extraordinary performances, Ms. Kenya Brown from Kingsfork High School was declared the winner. Her soulful rendition of Etta James' 'At Last' captivated the judges and audience alike as her exceptional vocal talent and stage presence were on full display. Ms. Brown's performance was truly a testament to her dedication and artistry. Ms. Brown will represent the Eastern Area 3 Chapters at the 3rd District Talent Hunt Competition in Richmond. We extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes to Kenya as she competes at the next level.

The Zeta Omicron Chapter of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. wishes to thank all of the contestants, their parents, and our judges for lending their time and talent to the success of this program. We are proud to support these talented young individuals and look forward to witnessing their continued success.
